#DOTC High Major Takeaways
This past weekend we held our inaugural event “Dunkin’ On The Coast” | #DOTC. The event was a huge success and a big thanks to the teams who competed. The champions of the High Major division were the Houston Raptors Benjamin. We appreciate all of the great feedback that we received from the coaches and parents. This event would not have been a success without you all so thank you.
Raptors Gold Make Statement:
Bobby Benjamin, Director of the Houston Raptors organization, has been a good supporter of Ball So Hard Events. He played in the first event we threw "Clutch City Clash" in 2019. The event will be making its return for the 2025 Grassroots Season. The Raptors would go on to go 4-0 at the event. They averaged 63.3 points per game as a team and held their opponents to 38.5 points per game average. That would give them a +24.8 point differential. The Raptors came into the event as the only Top 12 team in the division to play, and they showed why they are ranked where they are. They have some collegiate prospects with positional size and play every game as if it were their last. They punched their ticket into the Shot Clock Invitational which will be taking place June 28-30.
We look forward to what next year's event will bring. The following list is not in any order specifically. Here is a list of prospects who stood out in the High Major Division of the event.
High Major Division Standouts:
Darrell Bush [CME Elite]
6’3” | C.E. King | 2026
Darrell was super active on the floor for Coach Clint. He averaged 9 points per game and was the most consistent player throughout the three games. He finished well around the rim. He could get to the rim just about whenever he wanted to.
Christian Garcia [Empire]
5’11” | The Woodlands | 2026
Although this prospect is a sophomore he put on a scoring clinic in each game he played. Especially in his last game, he had 27 points and got what he wanted on the court. He scored on all levels of the floor. He averaged 20.3 points per game.
Evan Fresquez [Empire]
6’5” | The Woodlands | 2027
Evan also played up in the High Major Division of the event and was very solid. He averaged 13.3 points per game and almost had a double-double in two of the three games. He ran the floor well and displayed great hands.
Geoffrey Morris [GTE Elite]
6’6” | Port Arthur Memorial | 2025
Big energy guy who runs the floor well and finishes around the rim at a high rate. Anything 16 feet and in you can count as a bucket when he has the ball. He rebounds well for his positional size and uses his physicality well on the floor. He averaged 10.5 points per game.
Jaxson Pitre [GTE Elite]
6’5” | East Chambers | 2025
Once he goes downhill, look for this high-flying prospect to throw one down. He was a mismatch problem for the slower forwards on the floor. This wing has a good handle on the ball and can finish through traffic. He averaged 10.3 points per game.
Mason Donald [GTE Elite]
6’0” | Kountze | 2025
Talk about big-time growth look no further than Mr. Donald. He already possessed an excellent skill set. This weekend we got to see him as a full lead guard package. He ran the show by commanding the court, hitting the NBA range trey balls, and facilitating the rock. He was also a pesky defender on the defensive end of the ball. He averaged 11.3 points per game.
Rakin Ali [K.O.P]
6’0” | Klein Oak | 2026
Talk about having a dead-eye shooting badge. This prospect was always in rhythm. He has good footwork to get into his jumper quickly with a quick release on his jumper. He can shoot off the dribble, as a spot-up shooter, or as a catch-n-shoot threat on the move. He had a high of 30 points in one game as he was easily draining NBA-range three-pointers. He averaged 17.3 points per game.
Raken Vargas [Kings]
6’1” | Empowering Others Prep | 2025
Raken is a true pass-first point guard. Please, don’t be fooled by his quiet demeanor on the court he has blow-by speed and can finish above the rim. He shot the ball well in his mid-range pull-up game. Control the pace by playing with multiple speeds. He averaged 13.7 points per game.
Donovan Fears [Kings]
6’7” | Empowering Others Prep | 2026
It was good to see Donovan be a defensive presence on the floor. He also hit perimeter jumpers and finished the ball exceptionally well around the rim. He is playing more comfortably in his body and continues to make big strides in his game as a stretch forward. He averaged 10.3 points per game.
Omarion Harvey [Raptors Benjamin]
6’7” | St. Francis Episcopal | 2025
Omarion played well the entire weekend for the Raptors. In the Championship game, he was an alley-oop machine. He made it easy for his teammates to find him as he was rim-running the floor. He also played a big role on the glass defensively. He averaged 11.3 points per game.
Christian Hodge [Raptors Benjamin]
6’4” | St. Francis Episcopal | 2025
Christian guarded multiple positions on the floor, causing havoc playing on-ball and down low. He also scored the ball well through contact, his strong frame allows him to be able to finish through contact with ease. He averaged 8.3 points on the weekend.
Jaden Williams [Raptors Bracey]
