Transfers | Out of State

In our series of the High School Transfer wire. This article focuses on prospects that are leaving Greater Houston.

Going Out of the Area

Let us take a look at who is moving out of the area. Every year we have prospects who leave Greater Houston to play at various prep schools nationwide. Here is a list of prospects who will be going. We wish all these players the best for this upcoming basketball season. We will still follow these players although they will not play in Greater Houston.

John Clark 6’8” PF | Klein Cain 2025 - he is on his way to Link Academy in Missouri to play in the Nike EYBL Scholastic League. Clark was a huge piece for Klein Cain last season as a walking double-double as he averaged 17 points per game & 12 rebounds per game to go with 3 blocks per game. Clark has continued to rise on national rankings and is considered a 4-star prospect. He had a lot of big moments during the grassroots season as well.

Jett Sutton 6’2” SG | Lake Creek 2025 - he is on his way to Tennessee where he will finish out his senior year at Sevier County High School in Sevierville, TN. He has chosen to honor his father's legacy by graduating from the same high school his dad graduated. Last year with Lake Creek he averaged 13.5 points per game, 3.6 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game with 84 made three-pointers while shooting 34% from beyond the arc.

Eren Ozcelik 6’7” PF | St. Francis Episcopal 2026 - he is headed to Brewster Academy where he will reclass from 2025 to 2026. Last season he was a TAPPS 4A State Champion where he averaged 8.9 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game on a very talented team.

Nasir Price 6’3” G | Seven Lakes 2026 - he is going to Link Academy in Missouri to play in the Nike EYBL Scholastic League. He was a part of two really good seasons at Seven Lakes as they went 69-9 and 32-0 in district play. He was a focal point for the Spartans, and he put up good numbers in both his freshman and sophomore seasons. Nas has been ranked nationally in both his freshman and sophomore seasons. He is considered to be a 4-star prospect. He will sit out this year due to an injury.

Jachai Cantave 6’1” PG | Atascocita 2026 - he will be attending SoCal Academy. Cantave had a productive grassroots season playing on the UAA with Gulf Coast Blue Chips. He was rated as the number 1 playmaker in the entire 16U division. He was invited to the UA Next Future 60 camp. He also picked up a couple of offers this grassroots season too. He was putting on a clinic at TABC this June where SoCal Academy was front and center for every one of his games.

Jacob Williford 6’4” CG | Cypress Ranch 2026 - he will be at Millennium High School out in Arizona. Jacob played a big role for the Mustangs last year, especially in the playoffs. He continued his onslaught of offensive prowess throughout the grassroots season as he ran with both JL3 and Northwest Rotary on Nike’s E16 circuit. At TABC there was no let up in his game and he was making plays for himself and his teammates. Jacob should be on the national rankings as a Top 100 prospect next year. He picked up 8 NCAA D1 offers this grassroots season as well.

Lyris Robinson 6’4” CG | Bridgeland 2027 - will be attending Canyon International Academy in Arizona which is a part of the Nike EYBL Scholastic League. He will be reclassifying from 2026 to 2027. He had a decent season at Bridgeland High School. I would’ve considered him a best-kept secret going into the grassroots season because his high school coach didn’t truly let him loose. He has been primed to take off and boy did he ever. He had a huge grassroots season. Lyris was top 5 in efficient scoring on the UAA. He received MVP honors in the EURO Youth Basketball Cup this summer over in Spain. To cap it off he put up good numbers at the NCAA Basketball Academy. He picked up 6 D1 offers this summer. He will become a national name soon.

Grayson Bennett 6’9” PF | Fulshear 2025 - He will be attending LaLumier School. Last season Grayson was at Fulshear High School went 21-15 on the season, and made it to the second round of the UIL 6A playoffs. He averaged 9.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game on the season. He was named Offensive Player of the Year in his district last year. This summer he ran with the Houston Hoops on the EYBL Circuit. Grayson would’ve been a focal point for the Chargers this year.
